Sample Investigation: What is soil made of?
In this experiment students were given the Focus Question: What is soil made of?
Students examined both wet and dry sample of soil and recorded their observations in their science notebooks.
We concluded soil is a mixture of pebbles, silt, and clay, and organic matter (humus). We also discovered not all soils are made of the same materials.
