No School Thursday, April 9, 2020 and Friday, April 10, 2020
Dear Callahan Families,
Distance Learning continues for the rest of April. We continue to be proud of how hard our students have worked and how serious they have taken this. I would like to also point out how hard parents and teachers are working to handle distance learning. Please continue to emphasize to your children that this is school time and not vacation. There will be a last distribution of math packets for our grade 2 & 3 students. Parents of grade 2 & 3 students got a separate email instructing them how they will be distributed at the Burrillville High School on Monday April 6, 2020. Please do not hesitate to email your teacher or me with any issues that may arise. We are in this together!!

Specials-Some students have had issues with assignments and getting into Art, Music, PE/Health, and Library/tech. Please contact the teacher directly for help on any assignments. Many parents are reaching back to their child’s homeroom teachers who might not have the information that the student needs. Special teachers starting Monday will be live from 12-12:30 and available for help from 12:30-1:00 (right after the class in the same meet/zoom).
Virtual Spirit Week- With one week of distance learning under our belts, The BHS Student council came up with this week's theme! In order to participate, please check the weekly spirit week flyer (attached) and plan to dress for the day's theme or set aside time to do the activity. At some point during the day, take a photo of your child (or if they can have them) in their attire or them completing the activity. Finally, email the photo to email@example.com. Photos will be shared virtually to show our community spirit and continue to remind us that we are all in this together!
ATTENTION Daily Lunches- There has been an adjustment to lunch distribution time in Burrillville. Bag lunches are being offered at Callahan daily from 11:00-12:00 now. Your child needs to be there to pick the lunch up. This is being done in front of the school of WLC.

A message from PTA:
The popcorn fundraising order has been submitted and once it arrives to us we will contact parents about arranging a pickup time. We don’t have anything else until we come up with concrete plans for the rest of the year. Thanks and I hope you’re all hanging in there.
